Jeffrey E. Levine, Chairman
Jeffrey E. Levine, Chairman of Douglaston Development LLC, Levine Builders, and Clinton Management LLC, has directed the new construction and/or rehabilitation of thousands of residential units, including both affordable and luxury housing, student housing, hotels, senior living, health care facilities and millions of square feet of commercial retail, office and institutional space since founding the companies in 1979. He most recently developed the Edge along the Williamsburg waterfront in Brooklyn, a 1.5 million square feet mixed use project, which includes approximately 2,000 residential units, over 60,000 square feet of retail, structured parking, a water taxi pier and a pedestrian esplanade. 2 North 6th Place, which is the last phase of the development, is currently underway and is expected to be completed in mid-2017. Anne Cooleen, President
Anne Cooleen joined Clinton Management in 2013, and brings over 25 years of luxury, commercial and affordable housing experience to her position as President of Clinton Management. Ms. Cooleen is responsible for leading and overseeing the effective management and operations of Clinton Management while ensuring superior service to residents of buildings under the company's management. In the past 25 years, Anne has held various executive positions in property management as well as in the syndication industry with both Related Capital and Enterprise Community Investment, where she oversaw a large national team and over a billion dollars in investments. Through these positions, Ms. Cooleen has established strong working relationships with various federal, state and city agencies.
Ms. Cooleen is a member of Mortgage Bankers Association, American Society of Training & Development, and International Coach Federations. Ms. Cooleen is holds the following certifications: HUD: HCCP certified Tax Credit Specialist, Certified Mediator: NYS Unified Court System Certified Corp Coach (CEC), Certified Group Coaching from Columbia University.
Michael Kessler, CPA, Executive Vice President of Financial Operations
Michael Kessler, CPA, is the Executive Vice President of Financial Operations of Douglaston Development LLC, Levine Builders, and Clinton Management. Mr. Kessler has been with the organization for over 25 years, and oversees and manages the three companies' financial teams. Mr. Kessler focuses on securing financing for projects and oversees the financing and accounting aspects of each project's full life cycle from inception through disposition. Mr. Kessler is also a key advisor and member of the Executive Management team and shares responsibility in overseeing the organization's insurance and risk management departments, personnel assessment and allocation of financial resources.
Mr. Kessler was an officer of the Queens Bronx Builders Association for many years and more recently served as a director on the New York/New Jersey Commercial Client Advisory Board for Capital One Banking group representing tristate real estate construction companies. Mr. Kessler currently serves as the President of Jewish National Fund's Long Island Board, a co-chair of JNF's corporate campaign for its National Conference in NYC in September 2016, and is a member of the JNF's Go North and Israel Heritage Task Forces. Mr. Kessler served as the immediate past President of the Dix Hills Jewish Center, a Vice Chairman of Parker Jewish Geriatric's Associate Board, and a Vice President of the Long Island Chapter of the American Jewish Committee. Mr. Kessler graduated Cum Laude from SUNY-Albany's Business School with a B.S. in Accounting, and is a member of the NYS Society of Certified Public Accounts, and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Ron Luft, Director of Facilities
Ron Luft joined Clinton Management in January 2007 and brings over 10 years of construction, purchasing, property and facility Management experience to the company. Mr. Luft is responsible for Property Management, Facilities, and Purchasing across the company's building portfolio. Prior to joining Clinton Management, Mr. Luft worked for Marjam Supply in Purchasing and Sales. Mr. Luft holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance from Baruch College.
John Sullivan, Director of Leasing and Compliance
John Sullivan joined Clinton Management in November 2013, and brings over 12 years of leasing experience to the company. Mr. Sullivan is responsible for managing the affordable and market rate apartment leasing process, as well as agency program compliance. In addition, he handles housing agency reporting, tenant income certifications in compliance with agency requirements, and tenant relations. Prior to joining Clinton Management, Mr. Sullivan worked for Arker Companies, where he managed Section 8 and Low Income Housing Tax Credit compliance for 1,200 units of affordable housing. Mr. Sullivan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Real Estate and Public Policy from the Graduate Center - City University of New York.
Regina Grady, Director of Collections/Paralegal
Regina Grady joined Clinton Management in September 2013. Mrs. Grady is responsible for timely rent collection and resolving residents' rent payment issues. Mrs. Grady oversees all Landlord-Tenant actions and compliance with court stipulations and orders. Mrs. Grady spent 20 years with the US Department of Justice -Federal Bureau of Investigation as the Records Division Manager and recently obtained Paralegal Certification at York College with a specialty in Landlord Tenant Law.
Daniel Oftring, CPA, Director of Accounting
Dan Oftring joined Clinton Management in July 2014, and brings over 14 years of public accounting experience to the company. Mr. Oftring is responsible for overseeing the general accounting and financial reporting functions of the accounting department. Mr. Oftring is responsible for implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and operations. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Oftring was a supervisor in the audit department at Raich Ende Malter & Co. LLP. Mr. Oftring holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fordham University, and is a member of the AICPA and the NYSSCPA.
